Across the country we interact with people just like you; those taking a direct role in their in-home services and supports. Our community shares a common awareness which helps us make connections in many different places, like a webpage. Your CDCN Community page is divided into three specific areas, each seeking to fill our community niche.
We believe we can achieve more together
We are excited to have a Peer Network available that Consumer Direct Care Network participants, authorized representatives, and Direct Support Professionals (caregivers) can join. The Peer Network allows members to learn about news and events in their community, participate in Direct Support Professionals appreciation efforts, and provide feedback on Consumer Direct Care Network services/systems.
Direct Support Professional Appreciation
We salute the 4,500,000+ direct support professionals (DSP) who provide the services needed for individuals with disabilities and older adults to maintain independence at home and in the community. Caregiving is often challenging work that is not glamorous, recognized, or highly paid. Nevertheless, it is this work that helps individuals live the life they want. The work of DSPs makes accessing basic civil rights possible, including going to school, getting a job, and participating in the community.
